Travelworld To Continue Expanded Motorhome Service Offering

Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld, one of the UK’s leading motorhome dealerships, will continue to offer its recently enhanced Motorhome service offering throughout the third national lockdown.

While Monday evening’s announcement means the showroom at the dealership – which is based just off junction 14 of the M6 in Stafford and was due to reopen on Wednesday, January 6 – must remain shut until further notice, the 1,000 square metre service centre will continue to be fully operational.

It means Travelworld will be able to offer its full range of service options, including MOTs after being granted the accreditation shortly before Christmas after a series of stringent checks and inspections from the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency.

Ross Edwards, managing director of Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld, said: “It’s obviously disappointing to have to close our showroom for a third time in the space of 12 months, but we are pleased that we can continue a vital offering for all motorhome owners through our service centre.

“Along with our new motorhome MOT accreditation, our fully trained and authorised technicians offer chassis and engine services, motorhome habitation checks and can perform any associated repairs.

“We are perfectly set up to continue services in these difficult times, with a 1,000 square metre workshop and 20 independent technical bays, while we have made additional investments in state-of-the-art infrastructure.

“The only change to our normal protocols to adhere to Covid-19 guidelines is that customers can’t remain on site with their vehicles as they would traditionally be allowed to.”

As well as the service centre remaining open, Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld will continue to offer virtual tours of motorhomes for customers, as well as a click and collect and click and deliver service.

Ross added: “We look forward to the time that we can welcome customers back into our showroom and hopefully that won’t be too far into the year.

“In the meantime, we are delighted to still provide as full a service as we can for current and potential motorhome owners, while placing the safety of our customers and colleagues as the number one priority.”
