Travelworld appoints new Aftersales Manager

Jonathan Banner has been promoted from Parts Manager to his new position after using the Covid-19 shutdown to achieve a Level 5 NVQ qualification in Operational Management.

Jonathan, 55, has been with Travelworld for three-and-a-half-years having spent all of his working life in the automotive sector.

“I’m absolutely chuffed to pieces with my promotion,” said Jonathan. “When lockdown happened the company supported me with my NVQ qualification, which is the equivalent to an undergraduate degree.

“I was able to study during work time and also at home and consequently passed with a distinction, allowing me to progress within the organisation.

“It is something that I had planned to do anyway, but the Covid downtime accelerated that. I’m very grateful for Travelworld’s support.”

Jonathan will oversee and manage Travelworld’s busy parts department as well as the workshop, valeting and servicing operations.

He said: “My main role is to ensure processes are being followed and everyone is working to the Travelworld way.

“We are a high-end brand and I’m keen to ensure our customers receive the service they expect when they visit us for service or warranty work, as well as the highest standards in cleanliness on handover.”

Jonathan’s previous automotive experience covers everything from cars to buses – but he’s particularly happy working in the motorhome sector.

“I love the level of luxury we’re able to offer Travelworld customers,” said Jonathan, a keen rugby and football fan who lives in Stafford.

“There are some fantastic perks of working for the company – not least jacket potato Friday – and management regularly engage with employees across all levels, which is not something I have experienced elsewhere.”

Ross Edwards, Managing Director at Travelworld, congratulated his colleague on his promotion and added: “Jonathan has proved himself to be a highly competent manager with a firm focus on the customers.

“He worked hard on his NVQ qualification during Covid and has been rewarded with this promotion. I wish him well in his new role and look forward to working with him more closely.”

Travelworld has the largest array of premium German brand motorhomes in the UK market and is perfectly placed to meet the current unprecedented demand for Carado, Dethleffs, HYMER and Niesmann + Bischoff  vehicles.
